I sat on the beach in utter darkness on December 30, after feasting on 3 chicken wings and more than 3 creamcicle martinis, and pondered my New Years resolutions. Now I must admit that I am not one to plan ahead and the only reason I was out there on the beautiful stormy beach at midnight was that I really would like to make some changes to my life. Since I for the past 7 years have worked on the Eve of the New Year I decided to sit down and put some thought to what I want, feel and need. So here goes, and since there are none of you out there reading I don't have to ask you to hold me accountable.....
1. Need to start being seriouse with excersise. No I am not going to promise to work out 5 days a week when I know that for months on end I will be working 16-20 hours per day. BUT I would like to get in some more as we call it in Sweden VARDAGS MOTION.... Emma walks could be Emma Runs, If I want to read a magazine I can take my butt to the gym and do so instead of laying down to do it. Once a week I would like to watch a show on my phone and make that a gym event. When I am away on business there is nothing stopping me from taking a 30 min walk on non show days. I can walk for 30 min at the airport instead of having lunch with the boss... You get the picture?
2. Need to stop this insessant stuffing my face with things that are not good for me. I dont need to eat 10 pieces of chocolate or have 5 glasses of wine when 1 or 2 would be perfectly sufficient...NOTHING should be off limits but there should be a limit to how much good stuff i stuff my face with.
Soup or a protein shake could be a good lunch or dinner each day. Maybe this year I will be one of those people that loose weight by just making ONE change...????
